The Story Behind Venture
In November 2023, I started my first clothing brand, Blue Star. I was excited and full of ideas. Things started well—I made my first sales in February 2024, mostly to family and a few early supporters. By May, I was getting more attention, but something didn’t feel right. I realized I didn’t connect with the name anymore. It didn’t represent my vision.Around that same time, I began posting on TikTok, showing the behind-the-scenes of building a brand as a teenager. Two videos gained over 40,000 views each, and the response was incredible. I gained followers, likes, and most importantly, interest in what I was creating. That’s when I realized people were watching, and they cared about the journey.Even though things looked good on the outside, I wasn’t happy with the product quality. I was using print-on-demand, and the prints faded too fast. I also released a summer set with great fabric, but the measurements were off. That’s when I decided I needed full control over production to deliver clothing I could be proud of.In June 2024, I focused on school and ended up switching to a lower educational program. During that summer, I started brainstorming a new brand name and logo, but eventually, I lost motivation and paused everything.By September 2024, I had started college and was busy with studying and work. But in December, I made a decision: I was going to start fresh. I designed a new logo in Adobe Illustrator, started posting TikToks again, and began planning the foundation for what would become Venture. The name Venture represents more than just a brand. It’s the journey I’m on—taking risks, growing, and building something real.Since relaunching, I’ve been working with my own manufacturer who helps me with custom labels and packaging. Now I have full control over every detail, from the fabric to the final product. On March 28, 2025, I officially launched the first Venture drop. It was a big moment—I sold half the collection quickly, and I’m now restocking sizes like XS due to demand. Social media is growing fast, and the support has been amazing.Right now, as we head into May 2025, I’m focused on creating more clothing, improving every detail, and growing the brand one drop at a time. This is just the beginning.
